Providing Medical Needs

Hibberts Heroes

(Above is Mr. Hibbert's son talking to him via tablet.  Mr. Hibbert currently is

in Baltimore at John Hopkins Medical Center where has just underwent a bone marrow transplant)

Don Hibbert is a 57 year old husband, father, and friend who is dearly loved in our community. Don, his wife Marylynn, and their son Anthony (aged 12) live in Central Pennsylvania.

In May, Don was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myelocytic Leukemia) for the second time in four years. We are devastated by the news! He is currently admitted at Johns Hopkins Medical Center where he has undergone chemotherapy and a second bone marrow transplant.

As you can imagine, the emotional stress is incredible for this family. Marylynn currently travels back and forth from Baltimore and is torn between staying home with their son, Anthony, and being with her husband.  She is an amazing woman and is handling this difficult situation with incredible grace and relentless energy.

Battling cancer in a family is emotionally draining!  Cancer also takes its toll on family income and savings accounts as well.  The Hibbert family has worked hard to overcome the financial burden from Don’s FIRST treatment.  Tragically, they are now faced with a recurrent diagnosis.

The Hibberts are an incredibly resilient family and, with the help of family and friends, will work hard to battle and beat cancer for a second time.  Please consider helping this wonderful family by making a tax free contribution through PayPal located below . The Walk-On Foundation has graciously allowed 100% of the donations submitted through their organization to be donated to the Hibbert family.  If you would prefer to pay by check, please send a check to Walk On Foundation Inc 854 Milton PA 17847 notated Hibberts Heroes or directly to Marylynn Hibbert in c/o Denise Liscum at 12 Crabtree Lane, Lewisburg, Pa 17837.  Your support is greatly appreciated!
